Tradies contributes $100,000 to Bush Fire Relief

Words cannot describe the devastating impact the bush fires have had on communities, lives and habitats across Australia. As our country continues to burn, our thoughts are with every Australian affected and our deepest gratitude and respect goes to the firefighters, volunteers and all those co-ordinating relief efforts.

On the 9th of Janaury, our President Dennis McHugh announced Tradies commitment to supporting those impacted by the fires.

“Near or far, the communities affected by the unprecedented bushfire crisis need our support. As a club, we are determined to do all that we can to help them get back on their feet, to recover and to revive their communities, homes, environments and livelihoods. On behalf of our members, Tradies will be contributing $100,000 to the bushfire relief and recovery efforts as well as collecting school supplies for students on the South Coast and donations for the Australian Red Cross.”

In an effort to support as many of those affected as possible, the organisations Tradies will be contributing to include:

$45,000 to the Australian Red Cross Disaster Relief & Recovery Fund
$15,000 to the Your local club ClubsNSW Bushfire Appeal
$10,000 to the NSW Rural Fire Service
$10,000 to WIRES
$10,000 to Treading Lightly Inc.
$5,000 to Aussie Ark
$5,000 to ACTU Bushfire Relief Fund

We have been incredibly inspired by the generosity and spirit of Australians in this time of crisis and will continue to look for ways we can assist the future recovery efforts.
