To The Gymea Tradies,

We are writing to express our sincere gratitude to The Gymea Tradies, Elie and the staff.

We recently suffered a tragedy of losing our dear friend Ringo, and as such were burdened with the unfortunate task of organising a wake.

We contacted a number of venues but from the moment we made contact with Elie we were convinced that the Gymea Tradies was the right place to honour our friend. Both Elie and his staff were very understanding and professional and did everything in their power to ensure that this very sad and difficult time was made that little bit easier. We had several requests that many other venues could not cater to, but Elie was honest, flexible, showed understanding and empathy and above all, was very professional as was his staff.

The venue including the facilities were made available on short notice and our ability to play a PowerPoint presentation on multiple screens along with allowing people to enjoy a quiet drink, made the occasion a fitting farewell for a much loved and missed friend. The room was private and well presented and the catering was excellent with a variety of food for all to enjoy.

More people attended the wake than was expected but the staff were excellently prepared and easily dealt with the increase in numbers.

Though the day was very emotional, The Gymea Tradies and its staff allowed us to turn a very sad occasion into a celebration of our friend’s life. The day ran seamlessly and people were able to focus on happy memories.

We have no doubt that Elie and his staff were the reason behind the relaxed atmosphere, as their efforts and organisation ensured that the day ran smoothly.

We appreciate the efforts of the staff at the Gymea Tradies and would like to thank them for helping us through this difficult day. Their empathy, dedication and commitment was unwavering and comforting.

We would not hesitate to recommend Gymea Tradies for any occasion as you can expect outstanding service.

Hi Elie and Gai,

I just wanted to say THANK YOU for helping me organise our End Of Financial Year Party held on Friday 3^rd July.  Everyone commented on how great the food AND the service was for us.  Even though we were only a small group, we all felt very special and were very well looked after by Michelle Kennedy.  Her customer service skills and attention to detail are second to none and she really does do a brilliant job.  The event ran super smoothly and we all had a great time!  It was definitely a great way to end the last financial year and kick off the new one!  Everyone in the office has mentioned how good the night was and it is all thanks to you two also.

Thanks once again! I’m sure we’ll be back!

Hi Elie,

I just wanted to send you an email regarding our wedding reception that we had in the Bass & Flinders room at the tradies. We had a fantastic day thanks to you and your staffs’ excellent service. You made the reception a hassle free day for us, from your helpful planning to the organisation on the day, it was exactly how we imagined it.

We thank you for all the help you gave us, from the menu tasting down to the rose petals on the table, we couldn’t have asked for more. The bar and table staff we extremely pleasant and helpful and that just made the evening so much better. The food was delicious and great value for money so top marks to the chef, all our family and friends were raving about it.

If we know of anyone else having a function we will be sure to tell them to give the tradies a ring as I don’t think they would find a venue that is better value for money in the shire.

Everything was perfect, the room looked beautiful, the food was absolutely delicious, the staff were courteous and the service was first class. Many of the guests have rung and told me that this was the best wedding they have ever attended. Yesterday we celebrated our diamond wedding anniversary in your Bass and Flinders Room; a most suitable venue for our family celebration.  The food was superb and the service was excellent.  At every stage of the planning all the staff were most helpful and I want to thank you personally for always being available with helpful advice.  It all helped to make a memorable occasion which we all enjoyed.

I wish to thank you for all the work you did to make my brother’s Celebration of Life on Friday 16th so memorable. Your kindness and compassion when I first spoke to you was so refreshing. Your professionalism in arranging this at such short notice was a great help as by that time we were so exhausted and unable to think straight. Everyone spoke highly of the way John’s wake was organised; I couldn’t have done it without your help and your very efficient staff. Everything I asked for was provided with a minimum of fuss. Please pass this on to the managers of “The Tradies” another feather in your cap.

My daughter Alexandra Cooper of Como is a member of your club.  Recently, to celebrate her daughter's 6th  birthday, she suggested we have dinner at your club.  I have fond memories of Gymea Tradies, as my father,  Bill Hooper of Como, was a life member before his death in 2000. I arived early with my mother, now disabled and in her eighties,  and at the front reception desk we recieved the warmest and most entertaining welcome.  My mother was so taken with the gentleman and lady (I am sorry I didn't get their names) that she rejoined.  They made us feel important- this was particularly good for my mother as she and dad used to go there regularly.  The staff in the dining room, again, were very friendly and welcoming.  My daughter arrived with a birthday cake and was impressed when a male staff member noticed the "box" and came up to her offering to take the cake .  She had organised for the children to go to the Kid's Club, again, the girls were wonderful.  One of them sat with my granddaughter to cut out pictures of candles to make a paper birthday cake. They didn't want to come out to eat.  The meal was beautiful.  We all had cutlets. Then the staff brought out the cake, which was presented beautifully.  My mother and I took her friend there today for coffee and cake for her 87th birthday.

Hello Elie/Gai,

Many thanks to you and your staff for supporting the Sutherland District Athletics Club when we recently celebrated our 50th Anniversary at The Tradies Club.   Our celebratory dinner was a great success and this was in no small part due to the professionalism of the management and staff of your club.  The support provided by you and your staff to ensure the success of our important function was impressive.  As you are aware the function was attended by a number of politicians and former Olympians.  The food and customer service on the evening were excellent, and your staff were always very obliging.  The whole function ran very smoothly and subsequently I have had much positive feedback.
