About Us
Tradies is a values based organisation with our main objective to provide each and every visitor with an exceptional experience.
The Sutherland District Trade Union Club (Tradies) began as a place where Trade Union members could discuss industrial, political and social issues which were of great importance in their day to day lives. Tradies became a registered club in 1960 and quickly grew into a neighbourhood centre where the community could gather, relax and enjoy themselves.
From it's origins in 1960, Tradies has continued to grow and develop to meet the needs of the community. The club endeavours to strive for excellence and these efforts are continually acknowledged with awards in Outstanding Human Resource Management, People Management, Club of the Year, Community Service, Amateur Sport, Chefs Culinary and Excellence in People Management. Each year we are rewarded with more accolades' which push us to further develop and excel as a club.
At Tradies our core purpose is community support and in 2007 alone, Tradies donated over $300,000 to local community and sporting groups. Tradies staff are committed to helping those in need and this is illustrated by the Community Service Volunteer Program where staff donate their time and wages to help local community groups.
From its very beginnings Tradies has been known as a community club and whilst we continue to grow, these core values along with many others are still held by the Board, Management and Staff at Tradies.
